Jonathan Chatwin is a writer and journalist from Birmingham, England, and author of Anywhere Out of the World, a literary biography of Bruce Chatwin. He holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Exeter.

His essays and articles have been published by the
British Film Institute, Caixin, the Los Angeles Review of Books and Studies in Travel Writing, and he writes regularly on Chinese history and culture for the Asian Review of Books and That’s magazines.

Jonathan is currently completing a non-fiction work based on a journey across Beijing, titled:
Long Peace Street: A Journey in Modern China
